The Hilux N70's factory bumper has no real protection up front — this gives it some, plus somewhere to mount a light bar.

Hit a deer, a stray sheep, or just clip a gatepost reversing on a farm track, and a stock bumper takes the full hit. A nudge bar moves that impact point forward and gives you a structural place to bolt driving lights, rather than zip-tying them to the grille.
